She also has a MBus in Organisational Behaviour and has received several academic awards in recognition of her original thinking and contribution to areas such as, “Strategy, Judgement and Institution” in organisations.
Sona has also had more than 20 years’ of successful leadership, management and consulting experience, and before establishing her own company, held national executive director roles in multi-million dollar, matrix structured businesses, within the private, public and corporate sectors.
As a leadership specialist with an interest in influencing positive and progressive workplace cultures, Sona has used her personal and professional experience as a first generation immigrant to develop programs that assist individuals and groups to address and manage aspects of cultural transition and assimilation.
Sona’s coaching, workshops and seminars are effective in supporting her clients to reach their professional potential, while simultaneously staying focused on the achievement of employers’ objectives.
Keenly attuned to both linear and psychodynamic organisational and cultural frameworks, Sona incorporates individual and systemic influences within her coaching and consulting methodology and works with clients with varying levels of experience, from emerging leaders to CEOs, as well as leadership groups.
The depth of her business experience, along with her expertise as a qualified coach, has enabled her to nurture a reputation for adopting an intelligent, even-handed approach to cultural assimilation, strategic implementation and professional development.
Sona is also the owner and principal consultant of MILANA MATERNITY COACHING.
In addition, she volunteers as a ‘Transition To Work’ mentor for Fitted For Work, a non-profit organisation that helps women experiencing adversity break through barriers to get and keep work.
